Beautify your Skin. Organic Skin Care is what it Deserves

Tuesday Sep 29, 2009

by Amy Nutt

There is a multitude of different ways that you can beautify your skin from head to toe, but the best way is always to use products that are natural, healthy for your skin and in most cases, organic.

Face it, organic skin care is the very best that skin care has to offer, and this is exactly what your skin deserves. So if you want to beautify your skin the right way, you should be using organic skin care products that promote health and beauty in a natural way.

If you are part of that truly large percentage of women that are experiencing skin sensitivity issues, then organic skin care is likely going to be the perfect answer for you. Organic skin care formulas are rich in fruit extracts, natural essential oils and a number of other natural and organic ingredients that have very little history of ever causing an unpleasant reaction or activating irritation or redness of the skin. What this means is that potentially, organic skin care products can be the skin care regimen solution that you have been looking for all along.

Make sure that you are thoroughly reading all of the labels and understanding all of the ingredients contained within organic skin care products that you choose even if you do not have skin sensitivity issues. Just because the products are organic, that does not mean that there won’t be an ingredient in there that you just happen to be allergic to. Understanding what you are applying to your body is vitally important, so you should not simply trust the “certified organic” label, but rather actually take the time to get to know the products that you are using.

Organic skin care products such as natural body washescontain a lot of really natural ingredients. You are more likely to find milk, oatmeal, honey and cinnamon than long and confusing chemical names that leave you scratching your head. What would you rather rub on your skin, milk and honey or phthalates?

Organic skin care is good both for your body and our environment, because anything that does not contain chemical compounds and additives is going to break down much more easily without causing any harm to animals, flowers, trees or the environment in general. If you have not already tried out organic skin care products, then what are you waiting for? Now is the chance for you to beauty your skin while giving your face and your body a real taste of what nature is all about. Nothing is capable of nourishing your body as effectively as organic skin care products, because no product could be as natural or nourishing as a product that is filled with elements from the earth and the environment like fruit extracts, natural essential oils and elements like milk, honey, sugar and spices for example.

What Does Aromatherapy Do And What Is It?

Saturday Sep 26, 2009

by Peter Bertochhyt

Aromatherapy may be something that you’ve heard about but don’t know very much about. You may like to know more about aromatherapy so I’d like to tell you a little of the history and applications for aromatherapy.

The word aromatherapy was 1st coined by chemist in France in 1920. It refers to the use of various plant substances and in particular oils which are distilled from plants which are called essential oils. The chemist was called Maurice Gattefosse and it was he who discovered some of the healing quality of essential oils after a fire in his laboratory. At the time of the fire he had lavender oil there as he was studying the use of essential oils in healing.

Following the fire at the laboratory he had burns to his arm so he plunged his arm into the back of lavender oil and found immediate pain relief. He also found the burns healed very fast and without scars will stop

Other scientist followed up on the work of Maurice Gattefosse during world war 2 when many soldiers were burnt and also experienced all sorts of other life changing wounds. Research was done into the use of essential oils on burns and various other wounds.

In fact aromatherapy has been around for thousands of years under various names. It has always been the art of using various oils from plants and the scents that those oils produced for very pleasant and sometimes healing effects on people with health conditions.

However it is not true that aromatherapy “cure” any disease. However the use of aromatherapy is in helping disease sufferers cope with their various diseases and to improve their mental state. Whilst this is helpful in the overall treatment aromatherapy does not cure illnesses.

But it is true that there are a range of psychological benefits from a positive psychological sense that comes from the use of a range of beautiful smelling essential plant oils. This improves the mental outlook of the person, reduces fear and anxiety and helps them cope better with the illness

And it is also possible in some cases that aromatherapy can help reduce a sufferers reliance on prescription drugs such as indigestion tablets, sleeping tablets and painkillers.

Different people have different reactions to the scents from different plant oils. Many people actually utilize the principles of aromatherapy right now without even knowing it. Many, for example, fill out home with various oils and perfumes because they like the smell. They are using the principles of aromatherapy will stop

So perhaps you have a disease or illness that you are confronting and have been wondering about the role that aromatherapy may play. I won’t deceive you by claiming that aromatherapy will be magic cure for your disease. However don’t discount aromatherapy for that reason. It can do wonders for your mood and general psychological and mental state. Despite the fact that it is not a cure you can make a big difference in the overall outcome of your disease or illness.

Alternative Medicine’s Most Potent Anti-Viral Therapy: Essential Oils

Friday Sep 25, 2009

by Laura Dees

Scientific proof regarding the effectiveness of natural essential oils against a wide variety of viruses continues to grow. In the 1970’s, German researchers tested extracts of more than 90 species of the Lamiaceae plant family to have anti-viral actions. This discovery prompted great interest in the examination of essential oils in Europe for the treatment of viral infections. In more recent research, the essential oils distilled from these plants have demonstrated potent anti-viral properties. These concentrated forms of the plant medicine are easy-to-use, readily available, and can be highly effective in both supporting the immune system AND eradicating viruses with which they come in contact. In fact, many of the world’s leading aroma-medicine therapists believe the treatment and prevention of infectious illness to be the most important and efficacious use of essential oils. Here’s a look at which oils may be most effective for the professional and home practitioner to utilize for this purpose.

Research Is In: The Anti-Viral and Immune-Supportive Activity of Essential Oils

Essential oils can be utilized for two important effects: both direct anti-viral action and immuno-supportive properties. Research in these areas has been sigificant in the past decade, with the body of data available through Pub Med (the research database maintained by the National Institute of Health) containing on the order of 200 papers published in peer-reviewed journals on these subjects alone. A look into the research shows that certain essential oils can directly eradicate viruses, and at the same time boost the ability of the immune system to defend itself. As immune boosters, the oils have been reported to increase the ability of white blood cells to consume foreign invaders, as well as increase the rate and volume of production of antibodies and defensive cells when one has been in contact with a viral pathogen.

The direct eradication of viruses is also a feature many essential oils display, in addition to their immune-stimulating effects. This makes complete sense to practitioners of plant medicine, as plants themselves also must defend from viral infections. While the transmission methods these viruses use are different, their primary structure is not all that different from viruses infecting mammals. Essential oils have been shown to destroy the SARS virus, and prevent the cell-to-cell transmission of the Herpes Simplex variants. These same oils should also be effective at eradicating other ‘pandemic’ viruses we’re facing today. And not only do these oils eradicate viruses, but also demonstrate protective effects such that cells acquire resistance to viral penetration. For these effects, essential oils can be used topically (diluted in ‘base’ or ‘carrier’ oils) or even better, they can be dispersed in the air in your home or office by a nebulizing diffuser (we’ll explain this more toward the end of this article).

Selecting Essential Oils for Highest Immune System Function and Defense

When evaluating oils for your own formulas, it is important to take both actions into consideration — that of enhancing immune system action AND eradication of any viral agents in which one may come in contact with. Some oils are known to do both: Research presented in the April 2006 issue of Phytotherapy Research indicated Frankincense can be a potent anti-viral. It is also considered by some highly-trained aromatherapists to be the most potent immunostimulant essential oil. Melissa essential oil may have similar activity (these two oils are among the most revered oils for their multiple positive health effects). Other oils are know anti-anxiety agents, which again has a downstream result on a stronger immune system: these include Lavender, Bergamot and Sandalwood oils. Still other oils are thought to help with detoxification, further lessening the burden on the immune system: Rosemary, Fennel and Carrot Seed are important oils in this respect. Using several oils in combination, creating a well rounded blend to address multiple factors of immune response will likely produce the most effective formula. Think about where you might need the most support — if you’re immunity is strong, perhaps only the virus-eradicating oils are necessary. If you’re under a lot of stress, it’s important to include oils that address this issue, while both boosting immunity and eradicating viral invaders.

Melissa Essential Oil: Potent Immune System Medicine

Melissa, a member of the Lamiaceae family also known as Lemon Balm, has been shown particularly efficacious against the herpes simplex virus. The oil has also been shown to have significant antidepressant effects, and can positively modulate the action of the immune system. While somewhat costly, as the plant itself yields a very small amount of essential oil, its potency is considered exceptionally high. Even small amounts within your formula can provide important protection. Melissa is noted specifically by Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt in ‘Advanced Aromatherapy’ to work in very low dilutions; Dr. Schnaubelt believes the oil’s effects will still be strong when used at one part per hundred in topical recipes.

Rosalina and Tea Tree: High Power Australian Oils

Tea Tree, because we’ve all been using for so long, slips our mind when considering oils for more ’serious’ applications. The naturally occurring terpines in Tea Tree are among the most potent anti-viral constituents found in essential oils. Yet not all of us are very fond of Tea Tree’s aroma; what’s important to know that Tea Tree actually has a wonderful ‘nutmeggy’ aroma when it’s fresh ? and Tea Tree happens to be one of the essential oils that is better tolerated when it’s fresh (if the smell is unpleasant, it’s likely old or not of good quality). The research backing the antiviral action is probably more comprehensive than any other essential oil. While aromatherapists do not consider Tea Tree the first line of defense for influenza, it could certainly be a helpful component in blends with other appropriate oils for this purpose. Also in the Melaluca family is Rosalina, or ‘Lavender Tea Tree’. This relatively new oil seems to have an exceptional balance of properties, acting as both an anti-stress agent and a potent antimicrobial. Some therapists consider this oil may be the better choice for anti-viral protection.

Essential Oils Specific for Influenza

Case studies by professional aromatherapists have been presented where oils have been matched to the symptoms of the viral infection. Oils from plants of the Myrtaceae family (Eucalyptus Radiata, Tea Tree and Ravensara) have helped in cases of respiratory tract infections. For the lower respiratory tract, Hyssop decumbens has been successfully used. Bay Laurel essential oil has been specifically noted for its ability to destroy the virus causing SARS. All these oils are excellent in combination: Eucalyptus Radiata, Ravensara aromatica, Tea Tree, Hyssop and Bay Laurel would make an absolutely wonderful, highly-potent blend for diffusion. Additional oils from the herbs of Oregano and Thyme could be added if the formula were to be used topically (Note: these oils are so strong as to possibly cause irritation of the mucus membranes if inhaled in significant quantities. They are best used along with carrier oils on the reflex points of the feet associated with the respiratory system: the bottom of the foot from the ball to the pinky toe, and directly above this on the top of the foot).

Creating Your Formula (or finding one and using it!)

Putting together your own highly effective formulas (or using a high quality purchased one) is very easy to do. Several, or even all, the oils mentioned here can be combined in equal portions to create a diffuser blend: for example, blend one milliliter (27 drops) each Bay Laurel, Eucalyptus Radiata, Rosalina, Hyssop and Melissa. Use this in a nebulizing diffuser which makes a potent evaporative mist to disperse this in the air in your environment. Only small amounts need to be used at any time ? often a diffuser of these types will only be run about 5 minutes out of each hour. Never should the aroma be too strong or overwhelming. The same formula can be made into a topical formula to massage into the feet or into the lymph nodes. Virgin coconut oil is an excellent base, which is thought to have anti-viral action itself. This massage formula should be applied once daily.

These same essential oils can be made into a spray by diluting them in spring water at a 1 to 10 ration. Simply add the oils to a small spray bottle with the water and shake vigorously. This is an excellent way to treat yourself and your family when traveling! Do, of course keep this blend away from the eyes and out of the reach of children. The formulas should be further diluted if they are to be used with young ones (dilute half again in water or carrier oil); there are a number of fine texts available describing essential oil use with kids — be sure to understand all precautions by consulting these manuals or discussing the use of essential oils with a knowledgeable practitioner.

Conclusion: The Case for Natural Solutions for Anti-Viral Health Support

Essential oils are simply the concentrated volatile natural chemicals of plants. Plant medicine has a long, effective history, and the use of essential oils is no exception. Studies around the world support their use in treating infectious illness, and specifically in preventing and treating viral diseases. If you can, follow your intuition with their use, frequency and dosage. Be careful not to overdo it, as the potency of these medicines implies that only small amounts are needed to produce the desired effects. The formulas described here are not meant to supplant other means of preventing and curing illnesses, but to complement them. Remember that many aromatherapists consider this the most effective use essential oils may have for us, why not give it a try!

Organic Skin Care Can Give You A Radiant Glow

Friday Sep 25, 2009

by Amy Nutt

If you want for your skin to have a truly radiant glow, then one of the best things that you can do for yourself is to make sure that your skin care routine is completely and totally organic in nature. The skin is the largest organ of the body and it absorbs up to 60% of what you apply on it. As you apply chemicals on your face daily, the effects may not be immediately apparent; however it will cause your body to deteriorate. Organic products offer the effects of beautified skin without the negative impacts.

There are a multitude of unique benefits that come with the act of choosing organic skin care products, and this article is going to look at what organic skin care products can do for you in order to give your skin a truly radiant glow from head to toe.

If you want naturally radiant skin, then it should make sense for you to use skin care products that are natural and organic. Natural skin care products use naturally derived ingredients like essential oils, flowers, roots, herbs and other purely natural ingredients along with other natural elements in order to create a skin care product that is healthy and nourishing to promote radiant skin and a healthy body.

The classic definition for natural skin care relates to using ingredients that were sourced botanically without using synthetic or manufactured chemicals or ingredients. The skin is the largest organ in your body and so you should make the effort to keep it healthy, nourished and radiant by any means necessary.

There are a myriad of different organic skin care products on the market today, and reading the labels is one of the most important things that you can do because it is going to give you a good idea of what you are putting on your skin. Keep in mind that natural skin care and organic skin care are two different things - And understanding the difference between the two things is of vital importance if you want to get the very best out of your skin care regimen. No matter what skin care regimen you decide to choose, it is vitally important that you know what you are putting on your skin. Understand which ingredients are natural and which are not, and know what the potential effects are of each of the compounds, chemicals and other elements that you put on your skin before you try the product.

Choose products that are rich in products that you can name. Do you remember those ice cream ads where the only ingredients were the kinds of things you keep in your fridge? You should be choosing natural and organic skin care products citing ingredients like milk, honey, oatmeal, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, coconut, natural oils and so on. These are the nourishing ingredients that will allow your skin to be truly radiant from your head down to your toes. Skin care products should be rich in these natural elements and materials, essential oils, plants, flowers, fruits and other completely natural ingredients rather than chemicals that you cannot figure out how to pronounce.

Getting to Know the Healing Practice of Reflexology

Saturday Sep 19, 2009

Originally known as zone or reflex therapy, Reflexology is a holistic healing method that assists the healing of the body through the use of therapeutic pressure and massage of the reflex points found on the feet and the hands. There is evidence that the art and science of Reflexology was used by the ancient Egyptians, Japanese, and Indian cultures as a tool to encourage and facilitate excellent health. Reflexology teaches that one’s vital energy circulates throughout the body, permeating every living cell and tissue. If the energy becomes blocked or congested the part of the body relating to the blockage is affected. Reflex points, particularly those in the feet, correspond to various organ systems and tissues. Upon stimulating and releasing the reflex points in a precise manner, life force circulation is restored and the body can heal itself naturally.

Considered an exceptionally effective method for activating the healing powers of the body, modern Reflexology is both a science and a healing art. As a science, Reflexology requires dedicated study, technical knowledge, practice, and skill. As a healing art, Reflexology is most effective when the therapist works with intention, dedication, and gentle loving care. Modern Reflexology now generally includes the use of essential oils during the session, as the reflex points are particularly receptive to this potent plant medicine. When skill and care are combined with sound healing practices, Reflexology can help to facilitate healing and encourage overall well-being.

Science teaches that one’s vital energy circulates between the various organs while saturating every living cell and tissue. It has long been known that good health depends on the dynamic balance and natural functioning of all the body systems. This ever-changing state of balance is called homeostasis. In order for the body to function optimally, all systems must act in synergistic harmony. If the energy becomes blocked or congested in one part of the body the whole organism is affected. Through the use of precisely applied techniques and oils, blockages can be released and health can unfold naturally.

There are many benefits of receiving regular Reflexology sessions including the reduction of stress by inducing deep relaxation. During the session, the body and nervous system are allowed to deeply rest and consequently functions in a more balanced state. As a result, the body moves toward homeostasis and healing can take effect. A fantastic study conducted on soldiers in Israel found that reflexology benefited these ’soldiers (who were) suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, providing temporary relief from symptoms including anger, depression, and muscle tension. The soldiers who received weekly reflexology treatments also experienced improved sleep patterns, levels of concentration, and an overall lift in mood.’ (Reflexology on the Front Lines of Health Care’, Massage Magazine, November/December 1998). Using a few drops of therapeutic grade Lavender essential oil is an excellent choice for decreasing stress and facilitating relaxation. In addition, Frankincense, Roman Chamomile, and Rose essential oil, are all lovely choices for encouraging relaxation. Choosing the best oil and application location is as easy as listening to your ‘inner guide’. Move slowly, while holding the greatest healing intention, allowing yourself to use the most effective oils on the reflex points which are naturally calling for them.

Reflexology is also a perfect practice to cleanse and purify the body of material and etheric toxins. Gravity pulls toxins downward; Inorganic waste material (such as uric acid and calcium crystals) can accumulate in bottom of the feet. An experienced reflexologist can break up these crystals with various reflexology techniques, along with detoxifying aromatherapy oils.

Soaking the feet in epsom salts with a few drops of essential oils can help to facilitate the release of old energy - this can be done at the completion of a session, or in between sessions. This is a very healing therapy that is safe for elderly, pregnant, and children. Use 1/4 - 1/2 cup of epsom salts in warm water. Add in 3 - 4 drops of essential oils and relax for 1/2 an hour. Foot baths are wonderful for those who have been ill or are exhausted. Aromatherapy baths are generally considered safe as long as the essential oils are properly dispersed throughout the water - the essential oils can be diluted in a carrier oil before pouring into the foot bath. Grapefruit, Geranium, and Juniper are all wonderful essential oils for detoxification, and can be used at the same time as oils for relaxation, such as Lavender, Sandalwood or Ylang Ylang.

As an energy-enhancer, Reflexology works on with subtle energy flows to revitalize the body’s natural internal healing mechanisms. For those in need of revitalization, choose essential oils that are uplifting such as Black Spruce, Bergamot, or Rosemary. Rosemary blends nicely with Lavender for clearing nervous exhaustion. Remember with essential oils that a little goes a long way - small amounts, even just a ‘hint’ of a good aromatic oil will have therapeutic effects. Bergamot is considered relaxing, calming and restoring. It may also help to lift depression as it encourages the flow of Chi (life-force). Always dilute Bergamot in a carrier before applying to the feet or skin, and any other essential oils that may be considered exceptionally strong or potent.

As energy pathways are opened, strengthened, and brought into balance, the body returns to its natural rhythms and energy flows naturally. The body, mind, and spirit are brought back into balance. Rose essential oil (Rose ‘otto’) is a wonderful oil for balancing and integrating the energy pathways of the body. Facilitate this healing by gently ‘anointing’ your friends feet with Rose oil and then along them to bask in the high vibration healing of this beautiful flower. Ylang Ylang can also be a perfect balancer, bringing the masculine and feminine energies into harmony. Remember, with all the oils, the tiniest amounts will have important healing action; the aromas should always be subtle and pleasant for both the client and practitioner.

The practice of reflexology nourishes both the practitioner and the client. When healing occurs, both experience a sense of well-being. This well-being can carry into other areas of the clients and practitioners life and the benefit extends out into the world. Reflexology is profoundly helpful tool in assisting oneself as a practitioner, and one’s client, in becoming vibrantly healthy.

The author has made available much information about aromatherapy, such as using lemon oil and other essential oils wholesale.

Extracting Blackheads

Friday Sep 18, 2009

Of all the types of acne teenagers and adults have to deal with, blackheads seem to be the most pesky and unsightly. Blackheads form when the hair follicle (or pore if you wish) becomes partially clogged. A pimple never forms so the dead skin remains lodged in the pore. Many people become irritated at the fact that these lesions don’t respond to conventional acne treatments. So, they turn to drastic measures to remove them. While you will have to resort to more intrusive methods to eliminate blackheads, some precautions need to be taken to prevent skin irritation and to ensure that you don’t introduce new bacteria to the surface of the skin. Below we will describe some tips to help you clear your skin of blackheads without causing unneeded damage.

The fact that our skin responds in various ways to hot and cold water is important in treating blackheads. When we apply cold water to our face, for instance, our pores contract becoming less visible. The exact opposite is achieved with hot water, which enlarges our pores. Since blackheads can become embedded pretty deeply within our skin, we need to utilize the help of hot water for an effective extraction. This is by no means a request for you to drench your face in boiling water. This will irritate your skin and may lead to burns. A better approach is to sit surrounded by shower steam for at least ten minutes. You can conduct your regular shower routine as you are doing this.

When you have completed the steam session, wash you hands and position yourself in front of a mirror. If you notice the finger nails on your index fingers are somewhat long, you may need to trim them. Remember, we want to remove the blackhead with as little damage as possible. Exerting pressure on a lesion with untrimmed nails can result in acne scarring, an expensive and unsightly problem.

As you are now facing the mirror, take you two index fingers and place them on either side of the blackhead. Gently, applying even amounts of pressure, begin to squeeze at the blackhead. Again, avoid using your nails in this process. You should begin to see the contaminants rise to the surface. If not, apply slightly greater amounts of pressure. Once everything finally escapes the pore, clean the contaminants off your skin. If blood begins to surge from the pore, use a clean cotton ball or q-tip and apply some pressure.

If you performed the extraction correctly, the site of the extraction should heal within a day or two. You can remove more blackheads with this method as needed. Just be sure not to exaggerate and do too many on the same day. Listen to your skin. Do not use pore strips as they will irritate your skin and eventually cause more breakouts. If you do not feel comfortable performing these extractions yourself, an esthetician may prove to be a wise investment.

History of Jurlique Skin Care Products

Thursday Sep 17, 2009

Jurlique Skin Care Products are extremely well known amongst luxury skin products. Created by a horticulturalist and a chemist, the product was one of the very first natural and organic skin care products in the world and the farm system that was utilized to harvest the products required to create this skin care product line is completely sustainable. Long before everyone began talking about green manufacturing and natural organic products, the Jurlique Skin Care Products were being manufactured in a completely organic manner with all natural ingredients. Made from rosemary, marshmallow, chamomile, lavender and calendula, the South Australian farm where the materials were grown for these skin care products started out from is today a thing of legend.

As more and more individuals jump on the organic and naturally created band wagon, there are many pretenders to the throne. Unfortunately, even those products that claim to be natural and organic are usually not even remotely as well manufactured nor do they feature the quality ingredients that Jurlique Skin Care Products offers. Despite all the competition, no one product has yet come close to dethroning the original skin care line that has grown to such epic proportion.

As more and more consumers begin to learn about the extremely popular skin care products from Australia, there are more department stores that carry these products where they can be readily found by an adoring public. While it has been very difficult to find over the years, in the modern-day, is not nearly as difficult providing that you’re willing to make an effort to purchase these products. Of course, all of the Jurlique Skin Care Products are available on the Internet at reasonable prices, taking the difficulty out of scouring your local department store for these types of products.

As organic and biodynamic products get more and more attention in the modern-day, it is very likely that you will see more of these types of skin care products that eliminate chemicals and non-organically sourced products. Oddly enough, there are far more chemically enhanced products on the market than there are green, biodynamic and organic products. By utilizing completely organic and biodynamic Jurlique Skin Care Products, you can eliminate much of the irritation and skin reactions that can come from other types of chemical-based products.

Using the Right Gel for Your Type of Hair

Wednesday Sep 16, 2009

Anyone familiar with the hair care products aisle at their local department store looking to use the right gel for your type of hair could very likely tell you that there is a massive variety of different available products, each with its own tagline and advertising materials, combined with an attractive package and exorbitant claims of perfection. Amongst all the different types of hair gel is very likely the perfect gel for your type of hair. Unfortunately, with all of the different claims and and promises of benefits, each particular package of hair gel seems to offer a cornucopia of results. Despite these claims, only one particular type of product is really going to give you the results that you are looking for and help you to look your best.

First and foremost, you have to identify what type of hair you actually have, a task that can be more difficult than you might imagine. While television commercials and advertising would have you believe that those who are prone to dandruff are completely covered by a halo of dust everywhere they go. These exaggerations make it hard to identify exactly what type of hair you actually have.

The best way to understand the health and condition of your scalp is to brush with a hard bristled brush and see if you produce any flakes. If you can produce any flakes all, you very likely have moderately dry to severely dry skin. While you might not always have dry skin, many people are afflicted with extremely dry skin during cold weather or while visiting dry climates. Whatever the case may be, it is important to identify whether you have oily hair, normal hair, frizzy hair, dry skin, so forth and so on.

Once you know what type of hair you have and what treatment you want to give it, then you can look into the types of hair gel that will help you look your best. Finding the right gel for your type of hair can be very difficult, but with extensive effort you can find what you need. When trying a new type of hair gel to see if it is the right product for your hair, try to buy a travel version or a trial package or even a free sample if they are available, in order to determine whether or not it is effective with your hair type. Just because a product is advertised as perfect for your hair type does not always mean that it will work or that you will be happy with the result.

One of the best rules of thumb when searching for the right gel for your type of hair is to choose a product that has the least amount of ingredients included in the package. Generally, organic products are the way to go when you are looking at rubbing them onto your scalp or other body part. Organic products tend to have less chemicals and are less irritable to the skin. Unfortunately, there are not always a tremendous amount of hair gel types available, making it somewhat difficult to find organic products in your local department store. Regardless, simply by cutting back on the amount of chemicals present in your hair gel, you can reduce a lot of the reactions that many people can have to excessive chemical products.

Just like shampoo, different types of hair gel target different hair concerns. Whether one wants to smooth frizz or add volume, organic hair care serve to prevent irritation and hair loss. Organic hair products such as Dr. Hauschka skin care products help to moisturize and restore silky texture to hair.
